What is Engine Oil?

Engine oil, also known as motor oil, is a lubricant that is specifically designed for use in internal combustion engines. It serves several important functions in the engine, including lubrication, cooling, cleaning, and protection. Here are some key points about engine oil:

1). Lubrication: One of the primary functions of engine oil is to lubricate the moving parts of the engine. It forms a thin film between the metal surfaces, reducing friction and minimizing wear and tear. This lubrication helps to prevent metal-to-metal contact and the resulting damage that can occur.

2). Cooling: Engine oil also helps to dissipate heat generated by the engine. As the oil flows through the engine, it absorbs heat from the engine components and carries it away to the oil cooler or the oil pan. This helps to maintain the operating temperature of the engine within a safe range.

3). Cleaning: Engine oil contains additives that help to keep the engine clean by preventing the buildup of sludge, varnish, and other deposits. These additives disperse and suspend contaminants, allowing them to be trapped in the oil filter and removed during oil changes. Regular oil changes are important to maintain the cleanliness and effectiveness of the oil.

4). Protection: Engine oil provides a protective barrier between the metal surfaces, preventing corrosion and oxidation. It also helps to seal gaps between piston rings and cylinder walls, reducing the leakage of combustion gases and maintaining optimal compression in the engine.

5). Types and Grades: Engine oils come in different types and viscosity grades to suit different engines and operating conditions. The viscosity grade indicates the oil's resistance to flow at different temperatures. Common types of engine oil include conventional (mineral) oil, synthetic oil, and synthetic blend oil. The recommended oil type and viscosity grade for a specific engine can usually be found in the vehicle's owner's manual.

Regular maintenance, including checking the oil level and quality, and following the manufacturer's recommendations for oil changes, is crucial for the proper functioning and longevity of the engine. Engine oil plays a vital role in keeping the engine running smoothly, protecting it from wear and tear, and ensuring optimal performance.
Our trade process spreads across CIF, FOB, TTO, and TTT, depending on the buyer's preference.

Here's what they entail:

1). Cost Insurance and Freight (CIF): Here, the seller will handle everything from loading the vessel, paying for insurance, and sending the product to wherever the buyer wants it delivered.

2). Freight On Board (FOB): Here, the seller pays for the transportation of the goods to the port of shipment, plus loading costs, while the buyer pays the cost of marine freight transport, insurance, unloading, and transportation from the originating port to the final destination.

3). Tanker Take Over (TTO): Here, the buyer will take over the vessel, offload the product at their destination, and return it.

4). Tanker To Tanker (TTT): Here, the buyer uses their own vessel, long sides with the seller's vessel, and then the cargo is transshipped when the transaction is fully settled.
